Football Recap: Grandview Beats Connally for Their Third Straight Victory

Grandview's game on Friday was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 39-35 W over the Connally Cadets. The Zebras' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Connally's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Coffman, who threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also picked up 50 receiving yards. Coffman showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 50 yards. KD Linville was another key pass catcher, picking up 123 receiving yards and one score.

Grandview's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Connally, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Grandview will challenge Malakoff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Connally, they will face off against Alvarado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
