Basketball Recap: Bishop Kenny Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

If Oakleaf wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bishop Kenny, they should've done a better job of containing Kathleen Crawley. The Bishop Kenny Crusaders took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 60-17 win over the Oakleaf Knights thanks in part to Crawley, who went 7 for 10 on her way to 22 points. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Makala DesJarlais, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (three).

The victory made it two in a row for Bishop Kenny and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Oakleaf, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Kenny will square off against Tocoi Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oakleaf, they and Orange Park will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
