Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for St. David

St. David won the last time they faced Baboquivari and things went their way on Friday too. The St. David Tigers came out on top against the Baboquivari Warriors by a score of 56-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Baboquivari's loss came despite strong showings from Cade Widener and Gabriel Pablo. Widener went 9-for-18 on his way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists, while Pablo went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points and six boards. The matchup was Widener's 28th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahj Mease, who posted five points and seven boards.

St. David pushed their record up to 13-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points over those games. As for Baboquivari, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-12.

St. David has already played their next contest, a 67-51 loss against The Gregory School on the 8th. As for Baboquivari, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-34 win against Patagonia on the 8th.
