Soccer Game Preview: Mingus vs. Coconino

The Mingus Marauders will venture away from home to face off against the Coconino Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Mingus lost 11-1 to Bradshaw Mountain on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Coconino made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lee Williams on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 6-2 margin over the Volunteers. Colin Pendergast was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Mingus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Coconino, their win bumped their record up to 9-2-1.

Mingus suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Coconino when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Mingus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
