Softball Recap: Glendale Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Glendale made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sierra Linda, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cardinals' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Unique Medina was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Nataly Camacho was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Glendale's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Sierra Linda, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Glendale will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
