St. Albans dropped their record down to 14-11 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 6-1 to the Cabell Midland Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

As for Cabell Midland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.

For Cabell Midland's part, St. Albans' batters probably weren't too happy with Audrea Watts, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (she gave up seven walks). Watts has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nicole Harris was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, St. Albans will square off against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Dragons 3.3, the Cougars 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
