The Frontier Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Paso Robles Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Frontier's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Paso Robles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Frontier saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They fell just short of Kingsburg by a score of 2-1.

Taylor Sloss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Frontier saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanisha Escarcega, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Emma Parnell also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Even though they lost, Frontier hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Paso Robles came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let Santa Maria get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Tuesday.
Paso Robles also got a great performance from Preslie Lyles as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave Lyles a new career-high in strikeouts.
At the plate, Kallie Gatoloai was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Four bases. while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Riley Moore, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2.
Paso Robles' record is now 2-3. As for Frontier, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Frontier has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Paso Robles struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Frontier skirted past Paso Robles 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Does Frontier have another victory up their sleeve, or will Paso Robles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
