Basketball Recap: Knob Noster's Loss Ends 12-Game Winning Streak at Home

Knob Noster entered their matchup against Odessa on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Knob Noster Panthers lost to the Odessa Bulldogs at home by a 64-49 margin. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Knob Noster's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4. As for Odessa, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knob Noster will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lafayette County at 7:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025. Odessa also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Plattsburg at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
