Basketball Game Preview: Giddings Lonestar Southeast Mustangs vs. San Marcos HomeSchool Panthers

The Giddings Lonestar Southeast Mustangs will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the San Marcos HomeSchool Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Giddings Lonestar Southeast lost 50-30 to Founders Classical Academy two weeks ago. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, San Marcos HomeSchool entered their tilt with San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 73-63. The win was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1190th, while the Pirates are ranked 480th).

San Marcos HomeSchool has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Giddings Lonestar Southeast, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
