Baseball Recap: Switzerland County Takes a Loss

Oldenburg Academy hit Switzerland County with a four-run seventh inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pacers came up short against the Twisters, falling 12-3. The Pacers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Twisters apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Switzerland County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Byrd, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Switzerland County's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Oldenburg Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Switzerland County will venture away from home to take on Jac-Cen-Del at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oldenburg Academy, they will head out to face off against Edinburgh at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
