            Volleyball Recap: Riley County Falcons vs. Valley Heights Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Riley County and Valley Heights meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Saturday. The Falcons took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won  2-1.
 The  defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  Valley Heights scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20,  25-17.
Riley County's offense was headlined by  Mina Spitler and  Audrey Holle, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from  Katelyn Allison and her 17 assists. She was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
Riley County's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Valley Heights, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Riley County has already played their next contest,  a  2-1  victory against Sabetha on the 16th. As for Valley Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  2-0  win against Frankfort on the 16th.
