San Fernando has gone 8-1-1 against Reseda recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The San Fernando Tigers will host the Reseda Regents at 4:30 p.m. Reseda took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on San Fernando, who comes in off a win.

If Reseda heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when San Fernando took over last week. San Fernando won by a goal and slipped past Van Nuys 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Jason Gonzalez and Jacob Angulo scored all three of San Fernando's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Reseda came up short against Sylmar on Wednesday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Regents can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 549th, while the Spartans are ranked 110th).

San Fernando's victory bumped their record up to 5-3-2. As for Reseda, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-2 and their overall record down to 3-3-3.

San Fernando took their win against Reseda in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will San Fernando repeat their success, or does Reseda have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
