Football Recap: Goochland Comes Up Short on the Road Against Nottoway + How To Watch

Goochland had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a hard 31-13 fall against the Nottoway Cougars on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Preston Jurach threw for 104 yards on five of 11 attempts. Landon Rew was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards.

Anton Carter Jr. was a one-man wrecking crew For Nottoway. as he rushed for 157 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Daveon Pettis was another key back, rushing for 67 yards and one score.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goochland will head out to challenge Mechanicsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nottoway, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Greensville County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
