Recap: West Jefferson Roughriders vs. West Liberty-Salem Tigers
The West Jefferson Roughriders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against West Liberty-Salem, falling 60-20. West Jefferson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Liberty-Salem to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lilly Weaver, who scored 17 points. Weaver is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Megan Hollar, who scored 16 points.
West Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for West Liberty-Salem, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
West Jefferson will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Northeastern at 6:00 p.m. As for West Liberty-Salem, they will head out on the road to face off against Mechanicsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mechanicsburg and West Liberty-Salem are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
