Mt. Lebanon took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Canon-McMillan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Big Macs on Tuesday. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-99) Mt. Lebanon actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-21, 16-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Mt. Lebanon's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Canon-McMillan, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Mt. Lebanon has already played their next contest (against Baldwin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Canon-McMillan, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Peters Township on the 3rd.
