Cody faced Powell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Broncs really took it to the Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-13 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

Despite the defeat, Powell had strong showings from Karcher Foley, who rushed for 40 yards and one score, and Lincoln Crawford, who gained 98 total yards and a touchdown. Foley didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended one pass.

The victory keeps Cody at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 50.5 points this season. As for Powell, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cody will head out to take on Evanston at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Devils will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Powell, they are taking a road trip to challenge Star Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
