Preview: GEO Next Generation Tigers vs. Livingston Collegiate Academy Wolves
GEO Next Generation has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Livingston Collegiate Academy Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on December 13th. Livingston Collegiate Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on GEO Next Generation, who comes in off a win.
GEO Next Generation has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 50-27 margin over St. Katharine Drexel. The score was all tied up 16-16 at the break, but GEO Next Generation was the (much) better team in the second half.
GEO Next Generation's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quinniece Darby led the charge by scoring 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kimberly Jack, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Livingston Collegiate Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 41-23 bruising from St. Katharine Drexel.
GEO Next Generation has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Livingston Collegiate Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
GEO Next Generation was able to grind out a solid victory over Livingston Collegiate Academy in their previous matchup back in January, winning 35-28. Does GEO Next Generation have another victory up their sleeve, or will Livingston Collegiate Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
