Basketball Game Preview: Scott's Branch Eagles vs. Manning Monarchs

The Scott's Branch Eagles will take on the Manning Monarchs in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scott's Branch will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Monday, Scott's Branch had to suffer through a 83-35 loss at the hands of Lakewood. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Gators are ranked 102nd).

Meanwhile, Manning can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Scott's Branch with points to spare, taking the game 71-53. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Monarchs considering their 17-point performance the game before.

Scott's Branch's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Manning, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
