Softball Recap: West Florida Baptist Academy Wins Going Away Against Pensacola Catholic

On Friday, everything went the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors's way against the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders as the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors made off with an 11-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Conquerors.

Riley Scheel spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Haley Snyder, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Cali Ellis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

West Florida Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pensacola Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3.

Looking ahead, West Florida Baptist Academy will challenge Lighthouse Private Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pensacola Catholic, they will face off against Pine Forest at 6:00 p.m. on March 7th.
