The Monticello Panthers will head out to face off against the Chapel Field Christian Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Monticello is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

Monticello is headed into the matchup having not lost since the 1st and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Sullivan West get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Wednesday. Monticello haven't had any issues with Sullivan West recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Monticello's offense was hitting Sullivan West from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Vicente Maldonado led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Chapel Field Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of SS Seward.

Chapel Field Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Monticello, their win bumped their record up to 8-4-2.

Monticello beat Chapel Field Christian 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
