Baseball Recap: Wabash Takes a Loss

Wabash had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 8-10 to make it four. They came up short against the Peru Tigers, falling 11-0. The Apaches were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Peru, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. The result was nothing new for Peru, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Peru's part, the team relied heavily on Bryce Hill, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Hill has become a key player for the Tigers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 4-5 otherwise. William Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wabash will welcome Northwestern at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Peru, they will be playing at home against Western at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
