Softball Recap: West Ashley Wildcats vs. Woodland Wolverines

West Ashley scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Woodland Wolverines and snuck past 14-12. The win was some much needed relief for West Ashley as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

For Woodland's part, Lily Canady and Jordan Gokey did some serious damage despite the final result: Canady went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and a triple, while Gokey scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Mccarthy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-5.

West Ashley's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Woodland, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

West Ashley will be playing in front of their home fans against Wando at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodland, they will head out on the road to challenge Timberland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodland is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
