Mora has gone a perfect 10-0 against Pine City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Dragons at 4:30 p.m. Pine City took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Mora, who comes in off a win.

Mora made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hinckley-Finlayson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mustangs blew past the Jaguars 11-2 on Tuesday. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Aubrey Athey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-5.

In other batting news, Mora got a massive performance out of Rhiannon Ashworth, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Ashworth also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season. Jennae Szucs was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.

Mora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .475. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Pine City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Rush City, falling 12-4.

Mora's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for Pine City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Mora's way against Pine City in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Mora made off with an 18-1 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
