Basketball Preview: Heritage Christian Patriots vs. Reimer Road Baptist Christian Golden Eagles
Heritage Christian has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Reimer Road Baptist Christian Golden Eagles on Tuesday. Heritage Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 809th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 253rd).
Last Tuesday, Heritage Christian had to suffer through a rough 73-37 loss at the hands of the Guardians.
Meanwhile, Reimer Road Baptist Christian came tearing into Friday's game with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Medina Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 87-57. Reimer Road Baptist Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 29 points or more this season.
Heritage Christian dropped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Reimer Road Baptist Christian, their win bumped their record up to 16-1.
Heritage Christian was dealt a bruising 82-49 defeat at the hands of the Golden Eagles when the teams last played back in January. Can Heritage Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
