Football Game Preview: South Broward Bulldogs vs. Coconut Creek Cougars

The South Broward Bulldogs will square off against the Coconut Creek Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (South Broward 7.2, Coconut Creek 10) so any points scored will be well earned.

South Broward's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They took down Northeast 19-0.

The critical scores for South Broward came from Maria Capellan, Nyla Louis, and Tiye Davis.

South Broward didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Capellan picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Coconut Creek's offense. They took a 14-0 bruising from Deerfield Beach on Tuesday. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

South Broward has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.6 points on average over those games. As for Coconut Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
