Volleyball Recap: Lapel Beats Eastern Hancock for Their Third Straight Win

Lapel waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Eastern Hancock Royals with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Royals back in August, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16, 29-27.

Lapel found their leader in sophomore Layla Graham, who had 14 digs and five assists. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Graham.

Lapel's win bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Eastern Hancock, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 23-6.

Looking ahead, Lapel will be playing in front of their home fans against Knightstown at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern Hancock, they are taking a road trip to take on Triton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
