Softball Game Preview: Pender Patriots vs. East Bladen Eagles

The Pender Patriots will challenge the East Bladen Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pender will be strutting in after a victory while East Bladen will be coming in after a loss.

Pender's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Hobbton with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, East Bladen came up short against West Bladen on Monday, falling 10-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Tatum Allen was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Dowless, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Pender has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. East Bladen's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
