Conroe and Willis are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Tigers will welcome the Wildkats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Conroe 3, Willis 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Conroe lost 10-4 to Oak Ridge on Wednesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Willis ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past New Caney 4-3. The win was nothing new for the Wildkats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Alexi Ford spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up 20 Ks.

On the hitting side, Willis' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mattie Collins, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Willis' win bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Conroe, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.
