Softball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Marquette Catholic's Winning Streak

Marquette Catholic managed to slip by Quincy Notre Dame the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Explorers came up short against the Raiders on Saturday, falling 17-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Explorers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Marquette Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Weiner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Marquette Catholic moved to 7-11 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Quincy Notre Dame, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-4.

While Marquette Catholic had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
