Recap: Creede Miners vs. Center Vikings
The Creede Miners struggled with offensive rebounds on Thursday (the Center Vikings had 1300% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Creede's tough 62-41 loss to Center might stick with them for a while. Creede has not had much luck with Center recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Creede's loss came despite strong showings from Will Roden and Jaxson Fazio. Roden scored 21 points along with 4 steals, while Fazio scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Roden scored a full 51.2% of Creede's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Center found their leader in underclassman Yanixan Padilla, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Casanova, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds.
Creede's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Center, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Creede won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cheraw at 9:40 a.m. on December 1st. Center's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sargent at 4:30 p.m. on December 1st.
