Southwestern has gone 3-0 against Salamanca recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Southwestern Trojans will head out to square off against the Salamanca Warriors at 7:30 p.m.

Southwestern lost 61-35 to West Seneca West back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salamanca). They put the hurt on Fredonia with a sharp 52-29 win on Friday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Warriors had established a 21 point advantage.

Salamanca's win came from a few key players Southwestern will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Leilene Mccomber, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 19 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charli Ross, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Salamanca was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Salamanca and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Southwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Southwestern was able to grind out a solid win over Salamanca in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 50-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southwestern since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
