Wagner came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Pieper, but MAYSON THOMAS wouldn't allow it. The Warriors walked away with a 53-40 win over the Thunderbirds on Friday for which the team can thank THOMAS, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last six times he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Wagner lost, don't look at Lance Johnson. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-11 en route to 20 points. Johnson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Daimen Ramirez, who posted eight points and five assists.

Pieper's record is now 18-7. As for Wagner, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Pieper has already played their next game, a 63-57 defeat against Tivy on the 20th. As for Wagner, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 43-35 loss against New Braunfels on the 20th.
