Softball Recap: Indian Trail Comes Up Short

Indian Trail made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kenosha Bradford, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hawks fell just short of the Devils by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mags Aguinaga and Claire Giese stepped up to the plate in a big way. Aguinaga went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Giese went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Indian Trail's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Kenosha Bradford, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Coming up, Indian Trail will take on New Berlin West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kenosha Bradford, they will square off against Whitnall at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
