Basketball Recap: Reading Comes Up Short

After flying high against Norwood on Monday, Reading came back down to earth. The Blue Devils took a hard 40-24 fall against the Mariemont Warriors on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Mariemont, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Reading will take on rival Wyoming at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mariemont is set to square off against their familiar foe Finneytown at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
