Dynamic duo of Rylee Hill and Maggie Mauldin lead Berry to victory

Recap: Berry Wildcats vs. Oak Grove Tigers

The Berry Wildcats have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They managed a 43-39 win over Oak Grove on Tuesday. This was payback for Berry, who suffered a 40-11 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Berry was led to victory by Rylee Hill and Maggie Mauldin. Hill dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Mauldin dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Mauldin has scored at least a third of Berry's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Rice, who scored three points along with ten rebounds.

Berry's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Oak Grove, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9.

Berry the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Pickens County at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Oak Grove will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Corner at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th.
