Basketball Game Preview: Swan Valley Vikings vs. Freeland Falcons

Swan Valley hasn't had much luck against Freeland recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Swan Valley Vikings will host the Freeland Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Swan Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-57 to Alma. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 33-33 at halftime, Freeland was not quite Glenn's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 22-15 in the first quarter.

Swan Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Freeland, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3.

Swan Valley took a serious blow against Freeland in their previous matchup back in January, falling 71-42. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Swan Valley was down 46-20.
