Basketball Recap: Immokalee Has No Trouble Against Pahokee

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Immokalee on Friday. They put the hurt on the Pahokee Blue Devils with a sharp 58-35 victory. The game marked the Indians' most dominant win of the season.

Immokalee found their leader in sophomore Timarian Howard, who went 7 of 9 en route to 17 points and four steals. That's the most steals Howard has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jose Marquez, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points.

Despite the loss, Pahokee still got an impressive performance from Brandon Watson, who posted seven points and eight boards.

Immokalee now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Pahokee, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Immokalee will challenge East Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lee County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.7 points per game this season. As for Pahokee, they will take on Dreyfoos School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pahokee is facing Dreyfoos School of the Arts at the right time seeing as Dreyfoos School of the Arts is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
