Basketball Recap: Shamrock's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Shamrock won the last time they faced Lefors, and Addison Jernigan did her part to make sure it happened again. The Shamrock Irish walked away with a 33-22 win over the Lefors Pirates on Tuesday thanks in part to Jernigan, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Cook, who earned two points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Shamrock's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-7. As for Lefors, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing McLean the next time they take the court. Lefors will host McLean at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Shamrock will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
