Volleyball Recap: Moapa Valley Falls Short Against Ranked Southeast Career Tech

Moapa Valley faced Southeast Career Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Roadrunners. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Their offense was headlined by Daisie Gordon and Alexa Reese, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Phoebe Leavitt and her 12 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lily Cox, racking up three apiece.

Moapa Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Southeast Career Tech, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Moapa Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Rancho on the 18th. As for Southeast Career Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Boulder City on the 16th.
