Softball Recap: Santiago Comes Up Short

Santiago's last matchup with Roosevelt could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Sharks came up short against the Mustangs, falling 7-1. The Sharks haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Santiago's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Santiago will challenge rival Corona at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Roosevelt is set to face off against their familiar foe Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
