Basketball Recap: Tandem Friends Comes Up Short

If Tandem Friends was riding high fresh off their 84-17 takedown of Boys' Home on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Badgers had to suffer through an 85-56 loss at the hands of the St. Michael the Archangel Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Badgers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Tandem Friends lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sean Tyler, who posted 15 points. He has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Isaac Radde was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Christian Myers was a one-man wrecking crew For St. Michael the Archangel. as he went 9-for-11 to rack up 23 points along with six assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Savage, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 18 points.

Tandem Friends' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Tandem Friends and St. Michael the Archangel will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Badgers see the court they'll take on Miller School of Albemarle at 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their break will end when they face Richmond Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd.
