Osceola lost against Gibbs back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Osceola Warriors took a hard 77-58 fall against the Gibbs Gladiators. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Gladiators are ranked seventh).

Eleven Williams and Aidan Lemons certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Williams went 8 for 15 on his way to 20 points, while Lemons went 7 of 14 en route to 18 points. Lemons continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brolin Roth, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Gibbs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bobby Crawford, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 24 points along with eight boards and four blocks. Those 24 points gave Crawford a new career-high. Mike Broxton Jr was another key player, going 8 of 9 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Osceola has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Gibbs, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Osceola will square off against St. Petersburg at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. St. Petersburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Osceola likes a good challenge. As for Gibbs, they will face off against Lakeland at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
