Basketball Game Preview: Pebble Hills Spartans vs. Estacado Matadors

The Pebble Hills Spartans will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Estacado Matadors at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Pebble Hills was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to Eastwood. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Estacado unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 78-62 to Frenship.

Estacado's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Pebble Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Pebble Hills came up short against Estacado when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 57-48. Can Pebble Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
