Recap: Middletown Middies vs. Mason Comets
The Middletown Middies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Mason on the road and fell 75-37. Middletown was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.
Mason's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Habra, who scored 13 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Parrish, who scored 11 points along with three blocks and two steals.
Middletown has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Mason, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middletown will take on Ross at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Ross presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Middletown in Ohio (Ross is ranked 171st, while Middletown is ranked 390th). As for Mason, they will be playing at home against Mount Notre Dame at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Mount Notre Dame is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
