Softball Recap: Hardin County Comes Up Short

Hardin County dropped their record down to 10-11 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 12-1 to the McNairy Central Bobcats. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for McNairy Central, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Considering they have won ten games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For McNairy Central's part, Rhyan Gray and Kenli Bingham did most of the damage at the plate: Gray went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs, while Bingham went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI. Those four RBI gave Gray a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chanley Steele, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

As of now, neither Hardin County nor McNairy Central have any future games scheduled.
