Basketball Recap: Wells Comes Up Short

Wells was the 61-25 winner over White Pine when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Wells Leopards fell just short of the White Pine Bobcats by a score of 30-28 on Thursday.

White Pine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brenley Skadburg led the charge by putting up 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. That's the most boards Skadburg has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaia Shedd, who posted six points along with eight boards and six steals.

Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for White Pine, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Wells will take on Carlin at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for White Pine, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the White Pine Bobcats face off against the Awaken Christian Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
