Basketball Recap: Russell County Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Russell County extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Horace Anthony. The Russell County Warriors enjoyed a cozy 56-41 win over the Columbus Blue Devils on Tuesday thanks in part to Anthony, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.

Russell County pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for Columbus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, Russell County and Columbus will both be playing Northside the next time they take the court. Columbus will head out to face Northside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Russell County will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
