The Odyssey Charter School Titans will be playing at home against the St. Edward's Pirates at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Odyssey Charter School had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Master's Academy on Friday as Odyssey Charter School made off with a 41-20 victory.
Odyssey Charter School can attribute much of their success to Melissa Mayfield, who scored 7 points along with 12 rebounds and 4 steals, and Christiana Patterson, who scored 16 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Patterson has scored at least 25% of Odyssey Charter School's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janette Macdonald, who scored 3 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Edward's humbled Master's Academy with a 47-6 victory. 47 seems to be a good number for St. Edward's as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
The losses dropped Odyssey Charter School to 1-4 and Master's Academy to 1-7.
Odyssey Charter School came up short against St. Edward's in their previous matchup back in January, falling 45-37. Can Odyssey Charter School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
