Volleyball Recap: Piedmont Comes Up Short

Piedmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Highlanders of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Piedmont was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Piedmont's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Piedmont has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against San Leandro on the 29th. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Head-Royce on the 30th.
