Volleyball Recap: DeKalb Comes Up Short

DeKalb lost against Homestead back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Barons came up short against the Spartans, falling 3-0. The Barons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19, 25-13.

Homestead found their leader in sophomore Soren Birkey, who had eight digs. Hudson Mulhall also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

DeKalb's loss dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Homestead, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-2.

DeKalb has already played their next game (against Woodlan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Homestead, they will take on Franklin Community in a tournament on Friday.
